Wow - long time between posts. A lot has been going on this Spring.

My folks called one night from their home in Williamsburg, VA to tell me they had decided to move back to Massachusetts - after 17 years! So that was quite an announcement. They sent me off to look at a condo they found on the internet so I took it upon myself to find them a perfect condo.

Think I did - they bought a condo I found in Acton and will be moving in early June! Lots of room and storage. It is super and has a two car garage. Wo Shelley and I have put up lots of shelving in the garage for even more storage.

There are so many changes to Acton since they left but I think they will do fine. It will be nice to have them nearby for holidays and dinners.

My friend Shelley called one night last week to ask what I was doing. Then asked it I wanted to visit the emergency room at Emerson. Turns out she stepped in a hole while mowing her lawn and broke her left ankle - the fibula bone. So she is out of work, on crutches with an aircast and just bored out of her mind.

Binny on her rockWe have taken her dogs out for a walk today Took several photos that are up on the flickr site. You can really see how Binny has grown! She is not yet 4 months old. This is my favorite one of her.

My pups are just fine - enjoying spring. Jake and I have been trying to take some walks. He really loves it. Of course, getting the leash on him is not easy as he is not well behaved - does not sit when he is excited. Yep - it is my fault - not good on the follow through from training. But he walks great - loves to lead but does not pull.

The Canoe

My neighbor, Michal, has received a canoe! It was quite the arrival. The truck parked on Rt 117, they took the canoe off and carried it down the street to her garage. Once in the garage, there is no room for her car!

Michal is quite the environmentalist and nature person. This canoe will be really enjoyed by her (and her friends!)

BinnyThe Maynard Beagles are very happy to announce that they have a new cousin (not a sister!!) Chewie, Luke and Marley (along with Shelley) have adopted Binny from the Methuen MSPCA. Binny was just 9 weeks when Shelley brought her home but these pictures are at 11 weeks. She is beautiful with great markings. It appears that Binny is a brindle Mastiff.  Chewie is teaching her manners but she is figuring out a lot on her own. Binny is already in puppy school at Gemini Dog, sleeps and eats in her crate, plays with toys, knows several words and is working on her house training. We are looking forward to watching her progress!

Spring!

My daffodils are blooming! The yellow is beautiful against the green of the myrtle and pachysandra. The purple of the crocus and the white of the snow drops is lovely against the dark bark-mulch. The back 40 does look like spring has sprung!

Cascade Rescue will be taking in some beagles that are being sprung from a laboratory. The sad news is that they only have one kidney. The great news is that they are fine healthy, 1.5 yo and beautiful!!!! Right now they need some foster homes to work on the finer points of home living so they can find that forever home. Please visit Cascade and see if you can help. A very worthwhile endeavor!!!

My thanks to Richard at the Geek Boutique for adding 2GB of memory to the little PC. It runs very fast and I am very happy!

Another experiment! I have combined a wordpress blog with my website. This will make it easier to update on the fly - from wherever I am.

I have completed the template changes and included the links. The old site is available from the Blogroll - just look for Old Website.
So far so good. I will do more detail tonight.

Let me know what you think so far….
